Samsung files patent for “Duo Pixel”, could it be a new camera technology

Samsung Duo Pixel

#Samsung has filed a new trademark application for a term called “Duo Pixel” which has sparked off speculation in the mobile industry already.

The company hasn’t made it clear as to what this feature will be used for and if it will be used in the company’s upcoming flagship, but it’s safe to assume that the Korean manufacturer will have this ready for the upcoming #GalaxyS7 and the #GalaxyS7Plus flagships.

Naturally, it is assumed that this feature has something to do with the camera, although it could just as easily be something else. Given how invested Samsung is with its mobile cameras, it would be a safer bet to assume that this has something to do with its upcoming range of smartphone camera sensors.

The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge cameras were touted to be the best in the business this year, so there are major expectations from Samsung for its upcoming flagships. Do you have any theories as to what to Duo Pixel could stand for? Share them with us in the comments section below.
