The Beatles is arguably one of the most popular bands in the world, even several years after their last album was released. However, their music hasn’t quite made it to the digital space yet with #Apple currently holding a monopoly over their content since 2010.
But that’s set to change starting December 24 with all of The Beatles content making a grand entry to the popular streaming services out there. This of course includes Google Play Music as well, which means users with the subscription can start streaming content tomorrow.
As for what’s on offer here, Google has clarified the entire Beatles catalog will be made available which includes all 13 studio albums as well as four essential collections, so needless to say, Beatles fans will be well covered this Christmas.
This marks a major landmark for The Beatles fans and the music industry in general as streaming is currently the way to go and we’ve seen companies get into tussles with big ticket record labels and artists over royalties. Fortunately, no such issue has been seen here.
Any Beatles fans out there? If yes, which ones would be your favorite? Sound off in the comments below.
