With the #MotoXPureEdition getting the #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow update from some of the carriers in the U.S., its global sibling is now following suit. Starting today, the Moto X Style (as it is known globally) will start seeing a notification for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, giving users access to the latest version of Android.
The rollout will depend on your region, so don’t expect to see it right away. But rest assured, the update should start hitting your device before the end of the month. Motorola has always been quick with sending out updates (with the 2nd gen Moto X on AT&T being the exception).
The company is also expected to send out the update to the DROID Turbo 2, DROID Maxx 2 and several other devices that are currently operating globally. The Android 6.0 update should bring forth a handful of new changes to the device including an extended battery life thanks to Doze Mode, so there’s much to look forward to.
