With the #LGG4 and the #V10 being launched not too long ago, the rumor mill has already begun talking about the #LGG5, which is supposedly just a few months away from an official release. It is being said that the device will be shown off in February next year during the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona.
As is the case with rumors, this one too talks about the hardware of the handset. It is said that much like other flagships of 2016, the LG G5 will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC underneath. This should make things very interesting as practically every Android flagship from next year is said to be running on the latest Qualcomm silicon.
The rumor also goes on to mention that the handset will feature a 5.6 inch Quad HD display, a 21-megapixel camera on the back as well as an 8-megapixel front camera. Android 6.0 should be running by default as the device is slated to release in just a few months from now.
As is the case with rumors, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now as we’re still waiting for official confirmation on this. Do you think LG is wise in releasing a new flagship by early 2016 to combat the upcoming Samsung flagship?
