FCC listing suggests the Verizon BlackBerry Priv is closer to an official launch

BlackBerry Priv

The #BlackBerryPriv is currently an exclusive via AT&T in the U.S., while #Verizon has also expressed interest in launching the device. However, the carrier merely gave out a tentative “coming soon” timeline rather than mentioning something conclusive.

And now, a couple of FCC documents have leaked out showing the BlackBerry Priv sporting LTE bands that are compatible with Verizon’s networks, suggesting very strongly that this is indeed the Verizon BlackBerry Priv.

The non disclosure contract is shown to be ending by the 20th of December, further indicating that a launch is around the corner. For now however, the BlackBerry Priv still remains an exclusive via AT&T and Verizon hasn’t commented on these latest revelations yet.

For what it’s worth, I think a Verizon branded BlackBerry Priv would make a solid addition to the U.S. mobile markets and would allow BlackBerry to reach a new demographic.

Would you be interested in getting the Verizon Priv if and when it sees the light of the day?
