Verizon LG G4 getting a minor update

Just as we found a cool deal for the #LGG4 over at T-Mobile, the #Verizon version of the handset is now receiving a minor update. This is merely a bug patching update and doesn’t introduce any massive features on the device.

Even then, some users are already reporting that the performance has already improved post the update, which is excellent news.

Verizon is yet to post a changelog for this new update, but we don’t expect there to be anything more than bug fixes and performance enhancements on board. There are a couple of updates pending for some users, so the file size might vary between 40MB to 400MB.

Since the Stagefright vulnerability was discovered, Google and Android OEMs have decided to rollout monthly security patches. So if you haven’t downloaded the monthly update from the past month, it’s possible that they will show up now.
