Unofficial Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM available for the Nexus S

Nexus S

The #Google #NexusS, which was one of the best looking #Nexus devices of its time has now received the unofficial update to #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow thanks to a custom ROM. For those unaware, the Nexus S went out of Google’s software support cycle three years ago with the rollout of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, so this has certainly taken a lot of work.

If you’re still rocking the Nexus S, at least as a developer item, we suggest you give this custom ROM a try. Of course, not all of the features will work perfectly, but it will do just enough to give you that elusive Android 6.0 experience. The developer who produced this ROM, Dmitry Grinberg has warned that the radios might not work well, so that’s something that the users have to be wary about.

The ROM is obviously a work in progress, but the developer mentions that things should be back up and running in no time. Make sure you hit the link below if you’re willing to give this a try.
