The #NVIDIA #ShieldTablet recently made a comeback in the mobile industry as the Shield Tablet K1. Well it seems like this won’t be the company’s sole tablet as NVIDIA’s Shield Tablet X1 has just leaked out on benchmarking database GFXBench.
As the name suggests, the tablet comes with NVIDIA’s Tegra X1 chipset on board, while the standard Shield Tablet packs the Tegra K1 chipset. The hardware specs sheet looks pretty identical apart from that.
A newer processor means the customers can expect improved gaming performance from the device, which can only mean good news for prospective buyers of the device. The tablet is also shown to be packing 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the hood. Cameras are listed as “not supported” at the moment, so it’s possible that this is a pre-production unit.
Since this is just a leak for now, there’s no word on when the Shield Tablet X1 will be launched in the markets. But considering that it’s only just making its way to the leaks today, we’re not exactly holding our breath at the moment.
