We recently stumbled across a device on a Chinese certification database that was mistakenly known as the #Samsung Galaxy Golden 3. As it turns out, this smartphone is actually the Samsung #W2016 and has just been released today in China, carrying a flip phone form factor and a powerful hardware underneath.
The handset is limited to the region for the time being, with no details on whether the company will release the device Stateside or in other parts of the world.
The W2016 comes with dual 3.9 inch displays with a resolution of 1280 x 768, a 2.1 GHz octa core Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and a 2,000 mAh battery underneath. The pricing of the smartphone is still unknown, but expect it to be priced somewhere close to $600-700.
It seems like this is a flip phone version of the Galaxy S6 going by the hardware underneath. The only distinction has to be the display size and the resolution.
