Samsung’s #Android 6.0 update schedule has just leaked out, revealing the timeframe of the update rollout for most of its devices. The #GalaxyNote5 is high up on the company’s list with the device slated to get the update in December. However, devices like the Galaxy S6 edge+, the #GalaxyS6edge and the #GalaxyS6 will not receive the update until January 2016.
Next on the list are the Galaxy Note 4 as well as the Galaxy Note Edge, with both handsets scheduled to receive Android 6.0 by February 2016. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will get it two months later in April.
However, the Galaxy S4 from 2013 is listed on Phase 3 of the company’s update rollout cycle. The update is yet to get approved by the company, so we’re not particularly hopeful of seeing it anytime soon. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 models are also waiting approval, but are under Phase 1, so they should get the update sometime in Q1 2016.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4 will be part of the Phase 2 rollout and the former will get the update in April 2016 while the 8.4 inch model is still waiting approval. A bulk of the Galaxy A and E series of smartphones are also scheduled to get the update, while the budget Galaxy Tab A models might have to wait slightly longer.
