Note 4 Not Sending Text Message

Problem: I got the Note 4 right when it first came out and I have had this problem once or twice at the beginning and now it happens at least 50 times a day! I will send a text message, or so I think i’ll send a text but when I go back and look it will still say sending and have the blue circle on the bottom of the text showing that it’s still sending but it never sends! I have to copy and paste the message and send it all over again. Sometimes people get my message twice but most of the time the don’t get it until send it again and it actually shows a time it sent on the bottom of the message. This is really really frustrating. I have been to several stores and they say they fix it but it’s only been getting worse. Is this my phone causing the problem or a network problem. Any information would help. I really appreciate your time.

Solution: There are several factors that can lead to this type of problem. First, it’s possible that the problem could be network related. You can check if this is the case by sending a text message in different areas. If the problem only occurs in a specific area then it’s very likely a network related problem. I suggest you contact your carrier regarding this. You can also try to use a different SIM in your phone to check if the problem occurs when using a different SIM.

Another factor that  can contribute to this problem is the presence of corrupt data in your device. If this is the case then you will need to clear the cache and data of the messaging app. You should also wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.

Certain apps that you downloaded into your phone can also interfere with the sending of text messages. To check if this is the case you should start your phone in Safe Mode then send several text messages. If you can send a message without any problems in this mode then the issue is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still persists at this point then it may be caused by a glitch in the phone software. I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

Note 4 Freezes While Texting

Problem: With every android phone or Samsung while texting my phone freezes or takes forever to catch up while typing. It freezes and stutters while texting especially with my wife’s. How do I fix it?

Solution: Clearing the cache and data of the text messaging app usually helps in this kind of issue. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone.

Note 4 Message Not Sending

Problem: HI. When I dropped my phone  I found phone messages to one of my contacts weren’t sending. I checked messages to see if it had gone to the “spam messages” box. It hadn’t but it had gone to “Delete threads” How do I reverse? Would that have happened when I dropped my phone?

Solution:  Does this problem only occur with one contact? Try to double check on this by sending yourself a text message. If you can receive the message normally then the issue may just be a glitch caused by the drop.Restart your phone then delete the text message conversation thread of the affected contact. Once deleted try to send a text message to that contact again and see if it sends normally.
