Note 4 Lag, Slow Performance
Problem: Hello! I really don’t no where to start but let me just say, I have recently experienced heavy lagging and slow performance on my galaxy note 4. When I turn the wifi and mobile data off, my phone fairly okay in terms of performance, covering speed obviously. Now the real problem now rises when I turn my wifi icon on to get access to the internet. A lot of pop up ads appearing and when I try to close them they download instead of cancelling. And they keep appearing time after time no matter how much I cancel them. And then there’s this “error parsing package” message that also keeps popping up constantly which blocks or limit my phone usage that I can’t even make a call. Anti Virus app I have installed keeps opening up and scanning the entire device not on my command. Like, it keeps opening itself after every 15 minutes. What I have just told you happens to my phone all at a go once my wifi is up. I hope I have been direct trying to explain what my phone is going through, so what do you recommend? Thanks in advance
Solution: It looks like your phone may be infected by some form of adware. Your phone usually gets this if you install apps not coming from the Google Play Store. To effectively remove this adware I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 Freeze, Lag Issues
Problem: My phone lags constantly, it freezes up a lot. I go on Internet or apps like Facebook and it takes forever for me to be able to scroll down or it freezes and have to wait until it’s better. Also when I am texting I get a keyboard message that it’s not working. Recently it also started giving messages of apps that are stopped because they are not working like from t mobile, lookout. When I unlock phone I have fingerprint to unlock it takes long to show up now. Phone also powers off and on at random times.
Solution: This problem could either be caused by some form of corrupt data or a glitch in the phone software itself.
Try wiping the cache partition of your phone then see if this fixes the problem.
If the issue persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 Malware Checker
Problem: just reading about possible malware .. my note 4 lags pretty bad and short of factory reset is there an app that can find malware on the phone? i use malwarebytes on my PC and it seems to work well .. how about the version for androids?
Solution: There are several effective security software apps available for the Android platform which you can download over at the Google Play Store. Some of the popular choices include Avast, BitDefender, Kaspersky, AVG, and McAfee. Each of the choices have their own strengths however what’s common among them is that they do a good job of detecting any threat to your phone.
Note 4 Messages Keep Freezing
Problem: My messages keep freezing and i can’t access it unless i restart my phone. Then it freezes again. Also, my phone restarts on its own.
Solution: Try clearing the cache and data of your messaging app as this problem is most likely caused by a corrupt temporary data.
Wipe the cache partition of your phone if you still experience the problem.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the issue then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
