OnePlus introduces new On-Guard warranty service for its devices

OnePlus On-Guard

#OnePlus has just introduced its accidental damage protection service called On-Guard meant for its devices such as the #OnePlus2 and the #OnePlusX. Warranty coverage can be extended by up two years and you will be allowed to service or bring over your product regardless of where you are.

The company is currently launching this in Europe, while India recently got it as well. As for North American coverage, OnePlus simply said – “For our friends in the United States and Canada – stay tuned! We are partnering with another esteemed brand with experience in smartphone insurance to bring you services catered to our North American market.”

European customers will have to pay €39.99 ($44) for 12 months of coverage or €64.99 ($72) f0r 24 months of coverage. It will be interesting to see what the pricing will be like when it makes its way to the U.S. We have already seen major companies offering extended warranty coverage for their devices at a nominal cost. This keeps the customers minds at rest and devoid of any damage related fears.

Customers have up to 15-days to get the On-Guard protection post the purchase of their OnePlus smartphone, so early buyers of the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 will be ineligible.
