LG could soon release a variant of the G4 with wireless charging on board

The #LGG4 surprisingly lacks support for Qi based wireless charging, although there are cases that do offer support for the feature. A new report now talks about LG’s intention to release a newer variant of the G4 with wireless charging on board.

The revelation was made by an FCC listing which has revealed a smartphone with the model number LG H815PX. This is very similar to the model numbers of the LG G4 that is sold currently, so it’s fair to assume that this is just a variant of the handset.

Given that there’s not a lot of info available at the moment, we can’t tell if the smartphone will have any other distinguishing features apart from the wireless charging hardware underneath. So if this is just a feature upgrade, we should expect to find the same 5.5 inch Quad HD display, the Snapdragon 808 chipset and the 16-megapixel camera on the back.

Will wireless charging make the LG G4 an attractive proposition for you?
