According to a new report, the new version of #GoogleGlass could ditch the onboard display and rely solely on audio. It is being said that Google is still testing a business model of Glass that comes with a display on board, while two other variants with no display are also said to be in testing. As for the audio support, Google will supposedly use the bone induction tech that we saw on the first gen Glass.
Google Glass was originally supposed to go mainstream sometime next year, so we should have an update on that very soon. All things considered, we won’t be surprised if the release of Glass is further delayed, so don’t get your hopes up.
The Glass division is now run by Nest’s Tony Fadell and is expected to take a completely different direction compared to the previous versions of Glass, as is apparent from this new report. Would you be willing to try out Google Glass if it didn’t have a display on board? Let us know in the comments below.
