Marshmallow currently on 0.3% of Android devices according to latest figures

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

#Android distribution figures from November are out and there’s some positive news for Google’s latest operating system – Android 6.0 #Marshmallow, although it’s not exactly very exciting news.

According to the distribution chart, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now running on 0.3% of all Android devices, which we’re guessing accounts for the handful of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P sales, while the existing lot of devices that recently received the Marshmallow update will also be included. As of now, the HTC One A9, the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P are the only new devices to come with Android 6.0 out of the box.

We don’t expect this figure to change magically anytime soon as some manufacturers have just begun rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop to their devices. The only way this number can increase is if Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P adoption soars over the coming months.

Fragmentation has always been a concern for Google’s operating system and unfortunately, it might remain that way for the foreseeable future. Do you have Android 6.0 Marshmallow running on your device yet?
