The #ZUKZ1 will supposedly be pricier starting next week, if a new report is to be believed. The handset currently retails for $299.99, but it is being mentioned that it could be priced at $319.99 soon. We’re not sure if there’s a valid reasoning behind the price increase, but it would surely make the handset less attractive in the budget market segment, despite featuring a very capable hardware specs sheet.
The ZUK Z1 comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p display, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (expandable), a 13-megapixel camera on the back, an 8-megapixel front camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cyanogen OS 12.1 and a 4,100 mAh battery pack. The company has already promised to send out the coveted Android 6.0 update to the smartphone, so customers will be well covered in terms of software.
We must mention that the price increase is yet to be confirmed by ZUK, so we’ll know for sure when it actually happens. For those unaware, ZUK is a company backed by Chinese manufacturer Lenovo.
