You can now get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Nexus 4 unofficially

LG Nexus 4

The #LG #Nexus4, which was Google’s 2012 #Nexus flagship has officially been left out of future software updates as we saw it missing from the #Android 6.0 update list.

Not disheartened by this, a developer called Dmitry Grinberg has decided to build a version of the ROM specifically for the Nexus 4. You will need a functioning computer with all the ADB tools installed (download it here) before going ahead with flashing the factory image.

You will need to be aware of factory image flashing before following this guide, so make sure you’ve done your research before going ahead. Customers who have tried out the ROM have mentioned that everything works perfectly fine, but make sure you head over to the Reddit post where you will find user feedback about this particular factory image.

Before you download it on your Nexus 4, we must warn you of the consequences of installing a third party ROM on your smartphone. So make sure you backup all your data before going ahead.
