The #Motorola #DROIDTurbo2 and the #DROIDMaxx2 are expected to be announced tomorrow at a New York City event. A new report is now talking about how the two Verizon bound smartphones could be water resistant in nature.
This revelation was made by an internal document which also went on to suggest that the smartphone will have a water repellent nano-coating on top to protect the internals from accidental water spills or splashes.
The IP52 certification suggests that the devices will not be completely resistant to water, but it should do the job anyways. We say this because there are devices that come with IP58 water resistance certification, which would make it safe even for swims. But for every day use and the regular amount of water splash (rains, showers etc), the DROID Maxx 2 and the DROID Turbo 2 should do just fine.
The two smartphones are different in nature with the DROID Maxx 2 being a Moto X Play variant while the DROID Turbo 2 is expected to pack a shatterproof display. We only have one more day to wait before we find out more about the DROID Turbo 2 and the DROID Maxx 2 smartphones, so the mystery shouldn’t stay for long.
