Samsung sending out a minor update to the Galaxy Note 5

Galaxy Note 5

The #Samsung #GalaxyNote5 (N920C) is now receiving a minor update with bug fixes on board. Samsung promised to send out monthly security updates to its devices following the #Stagefright vulnerability that was spotted a couple of months ago. The update is about 144MB in size, which suggests that this isn’t a big update.

Samsung is yet to start sending out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its devices, but that is expected to change over the coming weeks as the 2015 flagships start receiving the update. The Galaxy Note 5 should be high up on Samsung’s update list as it’s the most recent flagship to break cover in the market.

The UI of the Galaxy Note 5 hasn’t drastically changed with the update, so don’t expect any new changes in that area. Samsung hasn’t clarified if the update will be sent out to all variants of the device, although it should in theory considering that this is a maintenance update.
