Samsung Galaxy A9 (SM-A9000) leaked out by a benchmark database

Samsung Galaxy A9 AnTuTu

Samsung’s #GalaxyA series have been quite popular in the midrange market segment since last year. It seems like the Korean manufacturer is looking to up the ante soon with a new model set to join the ranks, at least according to a benchmark database. Known as the #GalaxyA9, this smartphone is shown to be packing the model number SM-A9000 along with what appears to be a slightly upper tier hardware.

A 5.5 inch 1080p display is said to be on offer, while the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chip is powering the hardware underneath. The device is further said to be sporting 32GB of internal storage (probably expandable), 3GB of RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. There’s no word on the camera of the smartphone, but we expect more clarification on that over the coming days.

Although the benchmark listing shows the handset to be packing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it’s very likely that Samsung will release its future devices with Android 6.0 Marshmallow underneath, given that the update is already public now.
