The #OnePlusX is supposed to be a mini-variant of the OnePlus 2 smartphone and is expected to be released very soon. Well, a new revelation made by a Chinese site has given us information on the potential pricing of the smartphone. If this leaked poster is to be believed, the smartphone will be priced at 1699 CNY or $267, suggesting that this will indeed be a midrange or low end offering.
The currently available OnePlus 2 model with 64GB of storage retails for $389, so this would make the OnePlus X significantly cheaper. Rumor has it that OnePlus will go with a MediaTek made chipset for the OnePlus X, combined by a 5 inch 720p display and all the bells and whistles that we saw on the OnePlus 2 (fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port etc).
It will be interesting to see how the company will approach the smartphone considering that it only recently revealed the OnePlus 2 (which is still hard to come by). With a price tag of under $300 or near $250 even, OnePlus can do some serious damage with the OnePlus X. That is assuming the device will be available in decent quantities at launch.
