LG G3 and the G4 could be getting Android Marshmallow soon

The #LGG3 (F400S, F400K, and F400L) as well as the #LGG4 (F500S, F500K and F500L) could be getting the Android 6.0 update very soon according to the company’s official support page. This makes LG the third major manufacturer after HTC and Motorola to plan the Marshmallow update for its devices.

That being said, we have to be mindful of the fact that LG hasn’t confirmed anything and this revelation comes a couple of its support sites. So the exact timeline of this update rollout is still not known. In any case, make sure you keep an eye on that notifications bar as LG is known to surprise users by sending out major updates without notice.

Last year, the LG G3 was one of the first devices to get the Android 5.0 update, much before even some Nexus devices. So there’s no reason that won’t happen this year. There’s no mention of LG’s midrange devices getting the update, but we’re hopeful that the company has plans for them as well.
