HTC One M8 one step closer to Marshmallow as the update gets certified

Android Marshmallow

#HTC has already expressed interest to send out #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow to its flagship devices later this month. And it seems like last year’s One M8 flagship is closer to achieving that target with Bluetooth SIG already certifying the update. This is standard protocol before an update is sent out to devices and a sign of its imminent release.

The #OneM9 should also be on the same path, given that it was released earlier this year. HTC is one of the first non-Nexus OEMs to release an Android 6.0 running device with the One A9 not too long ago. The company was also among the first manufacturers to give a proper roadmap of the devices that will receive the Android 6.0 update.

From what we’ve seen on the One A9, the Marshmallow + Sense user interface is relatively clean and focuses more on efficiency and getting things done quickly. So keeping that in mind, this could be a big update for the owners of the One M8. Expect a notification to pop up sometime before the end of 2015.

Do you own a One M8? What do you make of this news?
