HTC One A9 - Official

The #HTC #OneA9 smartphone has gone official today, right on cue and is already available on pre-order as well. The smartphone can be yours for as little as $399.99, which is pretty decent considering the hardware packing underneath.

Carriers like AT&T and Sprint have announced that the handset will be sold through their channels soon, with Sprint even giving out a November 6 release date and a $20 month installment option. Going by this, it is expected that T-Mobile will also follow suit soon and give out word on availability of the One A9.

Now for the all important question regarding the hardware of the smartphone. The One A9 is packing a 5 inch 1080p display on the front accompanied by a physical home button which also has a fingerprint scanner underneath. Further, the smartphone has a 1.5 GHz octa core Snapdragon 617 chipset underneath, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 4-megapixel front facing shooter and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a 2,150 mAh battery.

The smartphone will be available in two storage and RAM variants, one with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, while the other has a moderate 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage on board. Both come with microSD card slots which can take cards of up to 200GB. It is assumed that the entry level model will be priced at $399.99 as there’s no word on the pricing of the 32GB variant as of yet.
