Google prepping another major redesign of the Play Store

Play Store

The #Google #PlayStore has seen multiple design changes over the past couple of years. The company has now teased yet another major design upgrade, with focus on streamlining content for optimum visibility to the users. One of the biggest changes we see here are rounded icons for top charts, featured and some other tags.

We also see that content is now split between Apps & Games and Entertainment, to make it more simpler for the users. The Entertainment section should include content from Play Movies & TV, Music, Newsstand, Books etc. There’s also a new featured items banner for apps/games and other content.

Google is yet to offer word on when the new Play Store will be live, but we’re guessing it won’t take long as screenshots are already being shared on social media. In addition to the visual changes, we also expect it to be significantly faster than the current iteration.
