Google launches the ASUS OnHub wireless router carrying a price tag of $220

ASUS OnHub Router

#ASUS has just released a new wireless router that belongs to the OnHub series, joining a couple of existing models in Google’s lineup. This router is unique from other routers in that it allows users to simply wave their hand over the router to get faster internet access. Google calls this feature ‘Wave Control’.

Google has also promised to introduce a new smart antenna algorithm to existing OnHub devices in the form of an update, which should offer an overall improved experience from the routers especially when there are connected devices indoors.

As for the pricing of the router, Google is asking for $220, which is quite a lot considering that this is merely a WiFi router. However, when we dive in deep into the features of the ASUS OnHub, the pricing doesn’t seem all that steep. The router is sold in a Slate Gray color variant.

The device is currently on pre-order from Newegg, although other retailers should also stock up on the router pretty soon. Interested? Head over to the link below to place an order for the ASUS OnHub router.
