Google Chromecast getting support for Spotify thanks to a new update

The second-gen #Chromecast already supports #Spotify as we all know by now. However, the first gen model was lacking support, although #Google promised to enable it very soon. Well it now seems like the update has finally gone live with the owners of the original Chromecast finally able to use Spotify.

In order to load Spotify on your device, users will simply have to run a power cycle and the support should be enabled the next time you boot up the device. Naturally, the feature has taken quite a while to come to the original Chromecast, so users will welcome its addition on the device.

If you’re not seeing support for Spotify on your first gen Chromecast yet, all you have to do is remain patient and be assured that an update will automatically be downloaded on your device.

Although the second gen Chromecast has arrived, there’s no denying the fact that the original model still has a lot of users and probably will be much more given how cheap it has become. So keeping that in mind, this update from Google and Spotify holds a lot of significance.
