The #BLU Pure XL smartphone was originally revealed a few weeks ago, but is now finally available for pre-order in the U.S. via Amazon. The handset is listed as “Temporarily out of stock“, which is understandable since this is a pre-order listing. Pricing has been set at $349, which when considering the hardware on board is quite a steal.
The device sports a mammoth 6 inch Quad HD display, a 2 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6795 chipset, 24-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (expandable), Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3,500 mAh battery. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner located right below the rear camera sensor.
As you can see, the hardware on board the Pure XL is comparable to the current crop of flagship smartphones. And for $349, this is as good as a smartphone can get. However, one will have to be mindful about things like after sales support from a relatively small time manufacturer like BLU.
