Although the #BlackBerryPriv has already been confirmed by the company’s CEO recently, it’s still frequenting leaks on a regular basis as the smartphone hasn’t been fully announced yet.
A leak from a popular BlackBerry source has now revealed that the 18-megapixel camera onboard the device comes with support for 4K video recording. This tells us that BlackBerry is taking the camera very seriously with the Priv.
Further, the BlackBerry Priv is also said to be packing a 64-bit chipset underneath, which is barely a surprise at this point, given that it’s known to be sporting the Snapdragon 808 SoC underneath. Overall, the Priv appears to be a hardware rich device running what appears to be a slightly skinned version of Android Lollipop.
Maybe BlackBerry can release the device with Android 6.0 Marshmallow since it has already waited this long to release the device. What do you think? The smartphone should be available for purchase sometime before the end of 2015, right in time for the holiday season.
