AT&T Galaxy S5 now getting the Android 5.1.1 update

Galaxy S5

Although the #Samsung #GalaxyS5 is the company’s flagship smartphone from 2014, there’s no denying that it has somewhat been neglected by carriers before. This new revelation is a perfect example of that. In a time when Android 6.0 is being rolled out to the manufacturers, AT&T has only now begun sending out the Android 5.1.1 update to the smartphone.

As for the changelog, not a lot can be expected coming from Android 5.0, but users will find the usual suite of changes on board the flagship. The update comes with the build number G900AUCU4COI5, so make sure you note that if you own an AT&T branded Galaxy S5. Given the nature of the update, it will be over 600MB in size, which means it is feasible to remain on an unlimited connection before making the download.

Here’s the entire changelog listed by AT&T:

  • Android 5.1.1
  • Android For Work
  • Security updates
  • Fix to Ultra Power Saver mode for devices using On Device Encryption
