Android One smartphones already getting Android 6.0 update

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

#Android 6.0 #Marshmallow is expected to be sent out to Nexus devices this week. However, it seems like #Google is prioritizing the update rollout to Android One devices (at least in India), where the update is currently being sent out. This is slightly odd as most Nexus devices globally are yet to receive the Marshmallow update.

But given that Google has long neglected its Android One devices, this would serve as a fitting reminder to the customers that they’re not forgotten. The update is shown to be 338.1MB in size and has no change log visible at this point. However, it doesn’t take a genius to guess that the device would receive a complete UI overhaul and come with some new features like Google Now on Tap will certainly make this a worthwhile upgrade.

The update should be hitting Nexus devices anytime now, so make sure you’re on the lookout for an update. Own an Android One device? Have you received the update yet? Sound off in the comments section below.
