Android marketshare saw a marginal increase in September: Report

According to a new report, Google’s #Android platform is not doing as badly as most people would have you know. NetMarketShare has published new findings which show that Android has in fact seen an increase in marketshare, while Apple’s #iOS marketshare has seen a drop in September. We must be aware that this could largely be due to the arrival of the new iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus flagships, as most customers wouldn’t have probably bought an iPhone with a new one on the way.

That being said, the Android marketshare has increased by 1.4% in September compared to August. iOS on the other hand saw a drop of 2.24% compared to August. We will get a better idea of where platforms stand when these figures are republished at the end of October as the new iPhones would have been in the market for a month by then.

This is good news for Android though as any kind of growth cannot be ignored with the amount of competition that the manufacturers are facing, even from within the Android camp.
