Verizon sending out security updates to the all the 2015 Samsung Galaxy flagships

Galaxy S6

The #Samsung #GalaxyS6, #GalaxyS6edge, #GalaxyNote5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ are now receiving security updates from #VerizonWireless, thus honoring Samsung’s commitment of sending out monthly updates to its devices.

The changelog has practically nothing but bug fixes, so you can’t expect any new features on board here. But users can breathe easy knowing that Samsung and Verizon have fixed any pertinent bugs that might have been spotted during testing.

The security patch is rolling out gradually and might take a couple of days to reflect on all devices, as is the nature with any update really. Already seeing the update? Make sure you let us know by dropping a line in the comments section below.

Sending monthly security updates to devices comes in the wake of the recently spotted Stagefright vulnerability that was spotted on Android. This bug has been patched, but companies like LG, Samsung (in addition to Google) vowed to send out monthly updates to keep their customers safe.
