Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual receiving Android 5.1.1

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

The large sized #Sony phablet, the #XperiaT2UltraDual is now getting the Android 5.1.1 update, after a long wait. Users of this 6 inch smartphone will start seeing the update on their devices right away, although it might take a while to reflect on all devices across the world.

As is customary with a minor upgrade, you will notice a couple of bug fixes and some other minor changes on board. There won’t be any other upgrades underneath though, so don’t expect a visual overhaul here. The Xperia T2 Ultra Dual was released in March of 2014, so it’s a relatively old device and yet supported by Sony, which is quite commendable.

Getting the update will change the build number to 19.4.A.0.182, so keep a note on that. This update also brings the fix to the #Stagefright vulnerability that was spotted across all Android devices a few weeks ago. So Sony seems to have covered all its bases with this new update. Do you own the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual? Let us know if you have received the update already.
