While the #Qualcomm #Snapdragon810 chipset might be filled with issues that manufacturers are still getting over, some great things are expected of the company’s #Snapdragon820 SoC which will be revealed next year.
A new report now tells us that Samsung is keen on bringing this chip on board its new flagship, so much so that its engineers are currently hard at work to ensure compatibility of the chipset with the early 2016 flagship, the #GalaxyS7. It is being said that Samsung is one of the first manufacturers to get an early glimpse of the Snapdragon 820 chip for this very purpose.
We must note that the Snapdragon 820 isn’t expected to hit the markets until early to mid-2016, so there’s still some time for this to materialize. If this report materializes, it could also mean that we will no longer see Samsung’s high-power Exynos chipsets on future flagships, which is slightly disappointing as the Exynos 7420 chip on the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note5 has been very impressive.
