Nokia’s Android powered C1 handset spotted in live images

Nokia C1

The #NokiaC1 smartphone leaked out just a few days ago in convincing looking press renders. The device has leaked out yet again, but this time in live images, showing us what the device would look like in the real world. And much like the renders, the smartphone doesn’t seem to have any flashy elements and Nokia has clearly settled with a simplistic design here.

The back panel merely has the solitary camera sensor accompanied by a single LED flash. There’s a Nokia branding on the bottom, but that’s pretty much it as far as design elements are concerned. At this point, it’s hard to judge if the smartphone uses a premium metal design or a simple plastic body, but we’re hoping to get more information on that over the coming weeks.

The handset is rumored to be packing a 5 inch display of unknown resolution, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and 2GB of RAM, suggesting that this won’t be a high end offering. This would still be an upgrade over the #NokiaX series from last year, which was nothing but a Windows Phone themed Android smartphone, thanks to excessive customization done by Microsoft.
