Nearly 25,000 people are apparently signing up for Samsung Pay each day

Samsung Pay

When #Samsung started teasing the arrival of #SamsungPay, it was obvious that it had some potential thanks to its compatibility with older MST units in addition to standalone NFC payment terminals. The company is now claiming that its service is off to a good early start with nearly 25,000 people supposedly eager to try out the service every day.

The wireless payment service is currently limited to South Korea but will be available in the U.S. starting September 28, so there’s still some time for it to go mainstream. But in the meantime, the company is giving an opportunity to a select bunch of users to try out the service. To stand a chance to get an invitation, users have been asked to sign up from the company’s official page, which is probably where this number is coming from.

It’s still too early to tell if all these users will actually go ahead and use Samsung Pay on a regular basis, so we’ll hold off on the judgement until the time arrives. Have you signed up for Samsung Pay yet?
