Following the revealing of the #Huawei #Nexus6P, #Google wasted no time in bringing the #Nexus5X to the stage. The handset is pretty much a smaller version of the Nexus 6P and even shares some features like the USB Type C Port fingerprint scanner and the same 12.3-megapixel camera, while a relatively smaller 5-megapixel sensor has been used on the front.
The display is a 5.2 inch 1080p panel, while its other features include a hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset, a 12.3-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, a 2,700 mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Just like the Nexus 6P, the Nexus 5X will be on pre-order starting today via the Google Store and will start shipping out in October.
The 16GB model will be priced at $379 while the 32GB model will cost $429, which is quite reasonable for an mid tier flagship such as this one. The specifications will not blow away the competition, but it’s just enough to leave a mark on prospective buyers.
The introduction video below should give you a better idea of what to expect from the new Nexus 5X.
