The #Qualcomm #Snapdragon820 SoC is set to don the markets starting early 2016. A user has managed to get his hands on the benchmark results containing this chipset, revealing pretty impressive scores. Given that it’s an upgraded version of the #Snapdragon810, it was always expected that the chip would be a beast in terms of performance.
The Snapdragon 820 running on a 1080p display, 16-megapixel camera, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage managed to score a gargantuan 83,774 points on AnTuTu.
Reports have suggested that Qualcomm has done its best to curb the overheating issues with the new-gen chipset, although that cannot be ascertained until we see the chip running on an actual smartphone. The company has made it abundantly clear that the Snapdragon 820 chip will not be available to the manufacturers until early 2016. So if you’re eager to see the new chip in action, you might have to wait slightly longer.
