Huawei’s latest Mate S flagship comes with Force Touch

Huawei Mate S

#Huawei has just taken the wraps off the #MateS flagship at its dedicated event in Berlin at the ongoing IFA 2015 event. The smartphone is one of the first to come with Force Touch, something which we’ve seen on the Apple MacBooks and is expected to be used on the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus.

This feature essentially lets users control the content on the display by applying pressure. A feature like this can be beneficial when zooming into pictures or to perform some cool tricks like weighing objects, something which Huawei demonstrated with an orange during the announcement.

In addition to this eye catching feature, the Huawei Mate S also comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p ONCELL display, an octa core Hisilicon Kirin 935 chipset, a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,700 mAh battery pack.

The smartphone should be available in global markets over the coming weeks and we’re hoping that the company will also look towards the North American markets while releasing the Mate S globally.
