Huawei seemingly interested in Samsung’s dual-edge screens

Galaxy S6 edge Plus

There’s no denying that the dual-edge curved display produced by #Samsung is the best in the business today. Chinese manufacturer #Huawei has now supposedly expressed interest in getting these displays from Samsung to use them in their future devices. It has been hinted before that Samsung could also be supplying curved display panels to #BlackBerry for the #Venice smartphone, so Huawei won’t be the first in line.

Interestingly, Huawei is looking for exactly the same display panels that Samsung is currently using in the Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+, so it might be slightly hard to come by given that it’s currently in demand and yields are said to be relatively low.

When and if this deal goes through, Huawei will supposedly have devices ready by mid 2016. The company will probably have a device ready in time for the Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled for late February next year.
