The #OnePlus2 requires an invite to purchase, as most of us are well aware at this point. These invites however are near to impossible to come by right now, unless you happen to know somebody with an invite to share.
The company, it seems, understands this very well and has decided to give the fans something to cheer about. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has issued a lengthy apology to fans and partners about the delay caused in sending out the units in time.
He also mentioned that in order to make up for this, the company will hold an open sale of the smartphone sometime later this month or in early October. There’s still no word on when exactly this sale will be held, but the company will offer more word on that as the day nears.
The bad news here is that the sale will only be up for one hour, so the window is very small if you’re looking to get the device. Not to mention the fact that the handset might only be available in limited quantities.
Regardless, this is a start from the company and we really hope its supply issues are streamlined over the coming months. Fans and prospective buyers can only wait for so long.
