BlackBerry’s John Chen shows off the Android powered Priv smartphone in a hands-on video

BlackBerry Venice

Earlier today, we saw #BlackBerry officially confirming the arrival of the #Priv handset in a detailed press release. And now, the CEO John Chen is showing off the smartphone in a hands-on video, giving us a very good glimpse of the device itself and the user interface as well.

However, it was slightly cringeworthy given that the CEO didn’t really know how to use the phone. It almost seemed like he was using it for the first time. We must say, that’s unbecoming of a company executive who is trying to show off an upcoming flagship smartphone. He managed to mention that ‘Priv’ stands for privacy and privilege.

But barring that, we could see that the device is pretty neatly designed and we can’t wait to personally try out the onboard physical keyboard and the much talked about 18-megapixel camera on the device.

It’s still not known as to when the smartphone will be available for purchase in the market, but we’re guessing it won’t take much time now since BlackBerry is already talking about the handset publicly. Hit the link below to check out the video in its entirety.
