The 2015 #Google #Chromecast is right around the corner according to a new leak. It is said that this HDMI streaming device will be announced on September 29. Not surprisingly, Google is also expected to reveal the two new Nexus smartphones on the same day.
What you’re seeing above is a very unique design and we’re having a hard time figuring out what it looks like. What we can see quite clearly here is that the device will be sold in some trendy new color variants such as Red and Yellow, while the standard Black model is on offer as well.
As for the new features, it is said that Google will reveal something known as Chromecast Audio (not to be confused with Google Cast for Audio). This feature supposedly allows users to add an auxiliary cable onto the Chromecast (3.5mm) to any other external speakers for music playback. It is said that Chromecast Audio will also support multi room audio playback.
Another major addition is going to be Fast Play, which sounds like a quicker way to pair with devices and play content more seamlessly. Full details of this feature are expected during Google’s event in a couple of weeks from now.
The new Chromecast will also seemingly come with support for improved WiFi bands (802.11ac) and new background feeds for the home screen when the device is connected. This could be practically anything ranging from social media to image feeds. It’s essentially like a screen saver when the Chromecast is idle.
