The OnePlus 2 Now Has A Stagefright Patch

Ever since news of the Stagefright vulnerability in Android was discovered, many manufacturers have been releasing updates to patch it. Now, OnePlus is doing the same.

Starting now, people who have the OnePlus 2 can download an update that fixes the Stagefright vulnerability. This is also the first update for that device, and it fixes the following in addition to Stagefright:

  • Improves battery performance
  • Improves user interface logic and coherence
  • Fixed an issue with pinch-to-zoom in Google Photos
  • Fixed an issue where Dark Mode would cause instability in certain apps
  • Fixed an issue related to import/export of contacts stored on SIM card
  • Additional support for global carrier APNs
  • Other improvements and bug fixes
