Sony’s #XperiaZ5Premium smartphone will be unveiled by the company soon, as we all know. A company representative has now confirmed that the smartphone will pack a 4K display panel, which should makes it the first mobile device to have that honor. The Xperia Z5 Premium will also be accompanied by the #XperiaZ5 and the #XperiaZ5Compact, but these smartphones are expected to be packing a 1080p and 720p display panels respectively.
It’s quite clear that Sony wants the Xperia Z5 Premium to be a hit with the masses and this might be a very good way to achieve that target, although we think it might be a little too late for the company, given its lack of presence in big markets like the U.S. Currently, only Verizon Wireless has partnered with Sony to offer its devices, so we’re hoping more carriers would want to join in on the action soon.
This smartphone is also said to be packing a 23-megapixel rear camera, a side placed fingerprint sensor and #Android 5.1 Lollipop. This was corroborated by previous leaks as well, so we should see the company highlighting this feature when the phone goes official later this week at the IFA event in Berlin.
