Samsung confirms that there won’t be a 128GB model of the Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 edge+

#Samsung has officially confirmed that there won’t be a 128GB model of the #GalaxyNote5 or the #GalaxyS6Edge+, contrary to what the reports had claimed right after the release of the handset. Originally, Samsung claimed that there won’t be a 128GB model of the handset, but accidentally listed the variant on its site not much later, leading to more confusion.

The company has now clarified that there won’t be any such models and the two flagships will continue to sell in 32 and 64GB models. We’re not sure if this is bad news considering that the 128GB models of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge didn’t see much love from the fans. Some users will obviously be disappointed since the smartphones don’t have microSD card slots either.

The launch of the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 was expedited to combat the potential threat of the upcoming iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. It will be interesting to see if Samsung’s ploy will work in their favor.
