Samsung bringing some software features from the Galaxy S6 edge+ to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge

Samsung Galaxy S6 - Apps Edge

Starting today, some users of the #Samsung #GalaxyS6 and the #GalaxyS6edge are getting an update which aims to bring some of the software features that were introduced with the #Galaxy S6 edge+ a week ago. Notable among the features is Apps Edge which will let you switch apps conveniently using the edge panel on the smartphones. The company has also included UHD upscaler, updates to Samsung KNOX and some other handy features in this OTA update.

However, the new camera features from the Galaxy S6 edge+ like RAW image capture, the ability to control the shutter speed etc haven’t been spotted on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, suggesting that Samsung might want to keep it exclusive to its newly released flagship. The company however has enabled support for YouTube’s broadcasting mode for the two smartphones.

The update is currently seeding to users of the smartphones in South Korea, but shouldn’t be far away from a release in other markets of the world. If you’re already seeing the update on your smartphone, make sure you drop a comment below.
