Huawei has started teasing the arrival of the Honor 7i smartphone¬†for the 20th of August as we all know. The company’s teaser says – “you change the vision together” which is an obvious hint of the handset’s camera credentials.

The handset has already made its way to China’s TENAA certification agency, which has revealed a unique sliding camera mechanism for the front facing sensor.

The certification image reveals the rear camera in place, but no front camera. One of the side angles reveals a slot, which is where the front camera is supposedly hiding. We’re guessing it will be a pop out camera with a dual LED flash, which is certainly unique and not tried before in the industry, not by a major manufacturer at least.

We can also see a dedicated shutter key for the camera, suggesting that the company is seriously touting the camera skills of he Honor 7i. With Huawei eager to bring its devices to a wider audience, we hope the Honor 7i eventually makes its way to the U.S. as well.
